The unique thing about our organization is that we design all of our curriculum in-house from credible financial sources. Our curriculum is designed with the intention to teach financial literacy in a format that children will understand through activity-based learning. Our volunteers teach these lessons at various schools, after school programs, and nonprofits around Austin.

About Us and Our Mission
“As students at the University of Texas at Austin, we saw many families in our area were affected by predatory lending practices. We founded Capital Community to fight these practices through outreach, education, and activism to help families gain greater financial stability”
